Celebrating Reading with Tandem Titles

THE BRIEF

At Tandem, we love reading as part of a group- hence- our Readalongs. There is nothing like getting to that exciting cliffhanger, and having someone to discuss theories with. Or a friend to swoon over the main character with you.

However, we understand that reading a book in a week isn’t realistic for everyone, and that a lot of people want to pick their own books to read together. And so Tandem Titles was born.

THE RATIONALE

People love book clubs. Whether it’s online, in person, at work or genre specific- book clubs have never been so popular. However, there are a lot of tough aspects of running a book club. How do you pick the book? Do you go for a new release, or backlist? What will you discuss? 

THE OFFERING

We want to help anyone run their own book club. We will attempt to identify and alleviate all the sticking points of running a book club, so all people will need to do is find a group of friends, and read. Our Tandem Titles offerings include a handpicked title, discussion questions written by Team Tandem, the ability to purchase titles at a reduced price as well as additional resources and advice for people running their own book clubs.

THE OUTCOME

This year Tandem are running their own book club, with the first title being Thirty Days in Paris by Veronica Henry. We have a Discord set up and will have a YouTube live to discuss the book at the start of October. We will have bi-monthly book clubs, with the first few books being picked by our community.

Once our book club is established, we can start including books put forward by clients alternating with titles picked by the community.
